We are currently seeking a highly motivated Business Process Automation Manager to join our Information Technology Digital Team at the Digicel Khalsa office, reporting to the Chief Technology Officer (CTO). This is an exciting opportunity to be part of our growth and innovation!

The Business Process Automation Manager will be responsible for managing the software development process for the organization's products and services. You will lead a team of software developers and work collaboratively with stakeholders across the organization to ensure that software development aligns with overall business goals and objectives. The primary objective of the role is to oversee the development process, ensure high-quality software is delivered on time, and improve the efficiency, productivity, and competitiveness of the organization.

 

Core responsibilities:  

  • Manage the software development process: Oversee the software development process from planning to deployment. Ensure that software development aligns with overall business goals and objectives. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and provide feedback.
  • Manage software development projects: Plan and manage software development projects to ensure that high-quality software is delivered on time and within budget. Monitor project progress and adjust project plans as needed. Ensure that projects are delivered using software development methodologies such as Agile and Waterfall.
  • Lead a team of software developers: Recruit, train, and manage a team of software developers. Provide mentoring and coaching to help them develop their technical skills and grow professionally. Collaborate with team members to identify training needs and develop training plans.
  • Ensure that software development follows best practices: Ensure that software development follows best practices in coding, testing, and documentation. Promote the use of software development methodologies such as Agile and Waterfall. Monitor the use of development tools and ensure that they are used effectively.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders: Work with project managers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure that software development aligns with overall business goals and objectives. Attend meetings and workshops to gather requirements and provide feedback.
  • Improve software development processes: Continuously improve software development processes to increase efficiency, productivity, and quality. Recommend new tools, techniques, and processes to improve software development. Monitor industry trends and technologies to ensure that the organization is using the most effective development tools and methodologies.
  • Manage software development budgets: Manage software development budgets to ensure that projects are delivered within budget constraints. Identify areas where cost savings can be achieved and recommend changes to software development processes to reduce costs.

 

Academic qualifications, Experience & Skills required for this role:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in software development.
  • 2+ years of experience in managing software development teams.
  • Strong knowledge of programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, PHP, C#, C++, and Python.
  • Experience with software development methodologies such as Agile and Waterfall.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders across the organization.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to write clean, maintainable code.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Experience with managing software development budgets.
  • Strong understanding of software development processes and tools.
  • Ability to stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in software development.
