The individual will be responsible for supporting DWH & MIS operations, as well as the implementation of projects and programs for Digicel Pacific Markets. This role entails collaborating closely with various cross-functional teams across the Pacific Group and with vendors and suppliers to maintain effective DWH & MIS operations. Additionally, the individual will implement IT projects, programs, and strategies according to the direction and strategy set by the IT department, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and directives.
Main Duties/ Responsibilities:
- Responsible for supporting DWH & MIS operation to ensure the accurate and timely delivery of business reports & KPIs
- Involve in planning, coordinating, designing, scheduling, and deploying data warehouse, MIS & analytics related projects & initiatives as per IT strategy & Business objectives.
- Support in O&M of DWH & MIS setup including Development, Monitors and maintains ETL processes, Reporting Applications, Databases and other applications/system involved in setup
- Maintaining 99.8% uptime for DWH Platform (ODI, OBIEE & Databases)
- Managing Changes, Incidents, RCA, Problems as applicable
- Support in upgrade & patching of the system to keep up to date & align with security compliances
- Regular interactions with cross functional business stakeholders to understand current & upcoming business reporting requirements and provide an effective & automated reporting solution to bring efficiency for in business operation
- Provide day to day ADHOC reporting requirements with in SLAs
- Maintaining applications as per Telstra security guidelines & supporting audits
- Keep track of all the Operational tasks, projects/initiates and day to day action items
- Regular & effective reporting of Operational KPIs, Projects, Programs & initiatives by DWH team
- Effective relation with Vendors, 3rd party and cross functional teams
- Creating Positive Work Environment & working as team player with limited supervision
- Training & Guidance to other team members as applicable
Academic qualifications and/or experience required for this role:
- Professional Degree with 3+ Years of IT Industry Experience
- Extensive knowledge and experience in DWH & MIS operations
- Proficient in managing people, processes, systems, and compliance
- Strong expertise in project and program management
- Skilled in data modeling and designing data warehouses from heterogeneous OLTP sources
- Capable of designing complex ETL processes for extracting data from XML files, RDBMS, and flat file sources
- Strong programming and relational database skills, with expertise in advanced SQL and PL/SQL
- In-depth understanding of business intelligence and data warehousing concepts and methodologies
- Experienced with databases, data acquisition, ETL strategies, and tools/technologies such as Oracle OBIEE, ODI, Power BI, and Tableau Proficient in data analysis and root cause analysis, with proven problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities
- Understanding of software engineering principles and experience working with Unix/Linux/Windows operating systems, version control, and office software
- Ability to design physical and reporting data models for seamless cross-functional and cross-system data reporting
- Ability to prioritize workload and work independently with minimal supervision
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Shell, JavaScript, and HTML5 is a plus Excellent written, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills
- Proactive, self-motivated, action-oriented, and effective with timely action completion and follow-up
- Service management: Providing response, diagnosis, and resolution for application issues in accordance with agreed service levels
- Effective troubleshooting: Problem analysis, resolution, and overall problem management
- Data analysis: Highlighting peaks, troughs, and exceptions in system transactions to optimize overall system performance and process efficiency
- Strong reporting skills: Providing regular progress updates on system performance, major issues, and issue resolution against agreed service levels
- Excellent communication skills: Able to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical personnel, including the application vendor, Digicel’s distributors, and Digicel management.
