We are seeking for Manager IT Applications who will be rresponsible for managing all the all-IT Applications and implementation of any Project/Programs related to IT Applications for all Pacific Markets. Responsible for overseeing the development, deployment, and maintenance of the organization's IT applications and manage a team of developer/Application support engineers and work closely with other stakeholders to ensure that the applications meet business requirements and provide a high-level user satisfaction.
Main Duties/ Responsibilities
- Provide end to end technical support and O&M for Great Plains, Workplace, GP, Pay Global, Hyperion/OEM, ESS, Point of Sale, BroadSoft, Qualtrics, Zendesk, Manage Engine (Ticketing Solution)/BMC, Ada, Swerve, Madme, Adjust, Workday, SuccessFactors, DocuSign, Peakon and all other application related to IT, HR, CC, Finance, Commercial, Retails & other business departments
- Maintaining an effective retail operation by ensuring proper application, system, monitoring systems & network etc. are in place as required
- Assessing and validating business support systems designs/solutions in consideration of Digicel’ s IT strategy and business objectives
- Managing all project/programs for the implementation of new IT applications as per IT strategy & business objectives
- Custodian and maintaining the roadmap and configuration management process for Digicel’s business support systems.
- Standardisation of support operations for day-to-day support functions, release, change management, Incident management and reconciliation across systems and revenue reporting environments.
- Managing hands on trouble shooting for issues/faults affecting the application layer that have been escalated as persistent and/or causing significant disruption to the designate business.
- Liaising and working with recommended suppliers/vendors as part of assessing new application technologies, releases/upgrades/new systems for Digicel. This may also involve negotiating with supplier/vendors as part of supporting the procurement process.
- KPI reporting (e.g., release/changes, major issues, availability, etc.,) and Budget planning.
- IT Security Improvement: Ensure all systems have been configured as per the company security policy.
- Manage the development and deployment of IT applications across the organization, ensuring that they meet business requirements and provide a high level of user satisfaction.
- Lead a team of developers/engineers by providing guidance, coaching & supporting them in learning to deliver high-quality work.
- Create positive work environment & empower team to deliver the quality work with limited supervision
- Work closely with other stakeholders, such as business analysts, project managers, and IT infrastructure teams, to ensure that applications are integrated and work seamlessly with other systems.
- Collaborate with the business to identify new opportunities for application development and enhancement.
- Develop and manage project plans, budgets, and schedules for application development projects.
- Ensure that applications are developed and maintained in accordance with established development standards, processes, and best practices.
- Manage relationships with external vendors and contractors involved in application development and maintenance.
- Provide regular & effective reporting to senior management and other stakeholders on the progress of Operational & project initiatives
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments in IT application development and make recommendations for new technologies, tools, and techniques to improve application development.
Academic qualifications, Skills and experience required for this role:
- First/associate degree or Diploma in Computer Science or related field
- 10+ years of IT experience working in a telecommunications or similar environment, preferably in the areas of applications systems evaluation, business analysis and business case development, applications development, testing, deployment, configuration management, and ongoing maintenance and technical support
- Excellent knowledge & experience in managing IT operation for on-premises & SAS based application for IT, HR, CC, Finance, Commercial, Retails & other business departments
- Excellent knowledge and experience in HW, Software & Networking, Oracle/SQL Databases
- Excellent knowledge of Cyber security, Audit & Compliance Management
- Excellent knowledge & experience in managing IT operation for on-premise & SAS based application for IT, HR, CC, Finance, Commercial, Retails & other business departments
- Excellent knowledge and experience in HW, Software & Networking, Oracle/SQL Databases
- Excellent knowledge of Cyber security, Audit & Compliance Management
- Excellent Knowledge & experience in People, Process, System Management
- Excellent knowledge & experience in Project & Program managements
- Comprehensive understanding of the system development life cycle and IT service management.
- Excellent written, verbal communication & interpersonal skills
- Proactive and self-motivated, action orientated and effective and punctual with action completion and follow up.
- Service management – providing response, diagnosis, and resolution for problems raised with the application in accordance with the service levels agreed with the various user communities
- Effective trouble shooting - problem analysis, resolution, and overall problem management.
- Data analysis - high lighting peaks, troughs and exceptions in system transactions as part of optimizing overall system performance and process efficient.
- Good reporting skills – i.e., will be required to provide regular progress updates on overall system performance, major issues, issues resolution against agree service levels
