Support for the end to end Accounts Receivable process which willl include processing high volumes of customer invoices, applying customer receipts, investigating queries as required for all markets serviced by Shared Services Finance.
Main Duties/ Responsibilities
- Perform GL Reconciliation and ADR reconciliation on month end.
- Investigate any varainace on GL, AR sub leger and bank statement on weekly basis
- Ensure that all entries are recorded on GL and sub ledger correctly without any delays
- Ensure all invoice and receipt allocation are done on time, weekly collection report sent to collection team.
- Ensure all customer invoice are sent once raised and checked againt checklist.
- Liaise with and assist Internal and External Audit in relation to AR matters.
- Clear understanding of AR sub ledger (Tarka/BSS/Azotel/GP/ MQ).
- Coach and Train new AR Executives.
- Assist AR Manager with process improvement , streamlining and automation of AR activities.
- Assist AR Manager with migration of AR responsibilities with other markets
- Coach and manage direct reports, creating backups and being compliant with annual leaves.
- Assist AR team with processing.
- Assist with any other Ad-hoc duties assign by the Manager or HOD.
Academic qualifications, skills and experience required for this role
- University degree in accounting,finance or business studies
- 3+ years of experience working in the Accounts Receivable department
- Experience in leading a team
- Experience in working in shared servies environment would be an advantage.
- Knowledge of AR sub-ledger system and GL system (experience with GP is an advantage)
- Attention to detail and liablitity to identify error/deficiencie in accounting numbers and processess
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Staff development, coaching and mentoring
- Good understanding on internal control and compliance
- Initiative to identify and implement process improvement in accounting procedures/systems.
