The Credit & Collections Executive is responsible to contribute to the reduction of aged debt for the company by collecting overdue debts from the customers and proposing adjustments if required for any incorrect billings.

Main Duties/ Responsibilities:

  • Liaising with the assigned customers at the start of the month to ensure customer has received the bill and all charges is reflecting correctly.
  • Ensure Collections is as per target provided. Continuous customer follow ups through calls, emails, messages and all other means of communication approved.
  • Providing Collection Support to other assigned HUB markets
  • All queries/ issues raised by customers as a reason for non-payment is appropriately handled and flagged to respective teams/ departments for assistance.
  • Providing commentaries on all aged debt accounts and having continuous follow up discussions with the customer for payments
  • Arranging and seeking approvals for any payment arrangements with the customer and ensuring payment is received as per the commitments
  • Submitting request for customer account disconnections if no payment update is received and all means have been exhausted for collections. Still if the customer does not pay, preparing legal file and submitting for legal claim with proper approvals.
  • Daily collection updates to be provided with comments for appropriate reporting’s;
  • Inter-department communication so that the work flow is smooth especially departments with whom you rely information from and the departments who rely on information you provide.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Academic qualifications, skill and/or experience required for this role

  • Previous experience in similar role will be an added advantage
  • Diploma in Accounting or related field
  • Ability to communicate with customers and attend their queries efficiently
  • Demonstrated ability to work pro-actively and on own initiative
  • Proven ability to work under pressure & to achieve targets
  • Must be a good team player
  • Passion for employee development
  • Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • MS Office Suite
