We are seeking to recruit a highly motivated individual for the role of Learning & Development Specialist. The role reports to Manager Human Resources – Fiji and will be based in Nabua.

 

As the Learning & Development Specialist you will be responsible for developing and implementing learning strategies. You will assess development needs, deliver training, and evaluate effectiveness.

 

Core Responsibilities:

  • Develop learning framework and drive learning initiatives through collaboration with subject matter experts and business unit stakeholders.
  • Design, develop, implement and manage learning initiatives that upskill high potential talent successfully and enrol into new roles as part of career growth.
  • Support and adhere to effective onboarding processes for new hires and internal transfers to create an experience.
  • Build relationships and engage with the leadership team, HR, and the central L&D team to strategize adoption & engagement techniques of all learning needs.
  • Lead, manage and facilitate employee on-boarding and off boarding process (end to end recruitment, selection and exit process);
  • Responsible for reporting, analytics, training effectiveness using Kirkpatrick’s model, and design development plans to drive results.
  • Develop and implement Training Needs Analysis, Training plan and use feedback mechanisms to implement capability development roadmap.
  • Facilitate trainings in a variety of delivery modalities (virtual, hands-on/experiential, instructor led, remote classroom,) for a diverse of audiences.
  • Be actively involved in identifying High Potential employees, Succession Planning and career pathing for employees.
  • Monitor and execute the compliance requirements with training regulators
  • Assist managers and team leaders in ensuring that all L&D activity is aligned to business strategies, priorities, goals and objectives.
  • Efficiently manage all engagement activities along with the Hub HR Team and the Engagement Committee.

 

Academic qualifications, Skills & Experience required for this role:

  • Degree in HR, Business, Management and or Industrial Relations.
  • At least 3 years’ experience in working in HR with a key focus in L & D background.
  • Strong visual design and multi-media development skills in audio, video, and/or animation.
  • Strategic Planning, Excellence in Service & Process Improvement
  • Strong interpersonal, presentation, written and verbal communication skills
  • Business Focus, Professional Ethos, Commitment and Decision Making
  • Experience using learning data to identify continuous improvement and an innovative mindset
  • Demonstrated experience in the various HR functional areas, especially recruitment, onboarding, change management, and employee relations.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and to navigate leaders through a variety of organizational changes.
  • Have passion for employee engagement & development.
  • Possessing a valid group 2 driver’s license would be an advantage.
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Flexibility to travel when required.
