The MFS Product Executive is responsible to managing initiatives and projects relating to MyCash product to ensure successful integration and support of both new and existing functions. Your responsibility will extend to onboarding of new Remittance partners, ensuring agreements are in place, performance and annual reviews conducted. Working closely with the MFS Growth Lead and Head of MFS, you will be responsible in generating product requirements, determining specifications and implementation.
Main Duties/ Responsibilities
- Collaborating with stakeholders to define product scope, objectives, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with business goals and requirements.
- Developing comprehensive project plans, timelines, and resource allocation, and managing project/product budgets to ensure successful product execution.
- Leading product/project teams, coordinating activities, and assigning tasks to team members, ensuring adherence to project schedules and milestones.
- Identifying product/project risks and developing mitigation strategies to minimize potential issues and ensure product/project success.
- Communicating product/project progress, updates, and status reports to stakeholders and senior management, ensuring transparency and effective decision-making.
- Managing changes to product/project scope, timelines, and requirements, and assessing their impact on product/project deliverables and resources.
- Conducting regular product/project meetings and facilitating effective communication among team members and stakeholders.
- Ensuring adherence to project management methodologies, best practices, and quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.
- Monitoring and tracking product/project progress, identifying variances, and implementing corrective actions to keep projects on track.
- Managing product/project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and documentation of project-related decisions and changes
- Research and understand products and future trends that MFS could take advantage off.
- Liaise with marketing to develop collateral and marketing material to position new and current products in the market place.
- Support the Head of Regional Head of Mobile Financial Services to create a quarterly roadmap to support the products goals
Academic qualifications Skills & experience required for this role
- Bachelor’s Degree in either Computer Science and Information Systems or Bachelor of Science.
- Experience in soliciting business requirements and translating those requirements into key performance indicators.
- Project/ Product Management skills
- Reporting design and development.
- Management and Communications skills
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint Knowledge
- Bonus if have the following qualifies
- Experience working with large sets of data
- Experience in Financial Services
- Project Management skills
- Highly analytical and strong problem-solving skills.
- Leadership qualities, with strong collaborative and entrepreneurial focus.
- Team player – able to work with others
- Strong communication skills
- Has high initiative to work on their own and career driven towards high achievement goals.
- Proven experience in leading teams with successful outcomes.
