The role will be responsible for supporting critical commercial decisions such as product / device pricing, SAC & tech fund play, responses to competitor moves, and understanding commercial impacts to offers we’ve put into market. The role is responsible for generating insights and information to help the overall team shape and manage customer acquisition as well as retention campaigns. The role requires sharp analytical abilities, excellent communication skills and strong strategic marketing knowledge to become an area expert in the Hub commercial Team.

 

Main Responsibilities:

 

  • Develop the business strategy in active collaboration with market teams to deliver the key commercial metrics by supporting the go to market efforts encompassing Segmentation, Business casing, Customer experience & commercial performance management.  
  • Manage the Revenue, churn, portfolio level performance & overall profitability of the Postpaid Mobile segment.
  • Driving pricing and commercial decision-making for the Digicel Pacific Hub’s Post-paid portfolio; predominantly in relation to plan pricing, handset pricing and Bid profitability of new proposals.
  • Monitoring profitability, both from a handset device margin and average plan value perspective, to allow effective recommendations to both maximize profitability and meet budgetary targets.
  • Presenting recommendations, commercial analysis and trading updates to key stakeholders (both within the direct team and other key stakeholder parties ).
  • Conduct research and analysis to generate insights into competitor activity, performance of past offers & customer behaviors in order to help shape propositions that will stimulate growth for the business
  • Responsible for defining the overall customer experience for Postpaid users and working with the value chain to remove pain points and deliver a smooth experience
  • Collaborate cross functionally with technology, UX, product teams, CS & partners to determine what features to move forward and in what priority.  

 

Academic qualifications and skills required for this role:

 

  • 8+ years in Postpaid / Business Solutions Commercial management with an appreciation of commercial evaluation & business development.   
  • Ability to articulate the commercial proposal including value proposition along with experience in delivering end-to-end strategy, plan and business case
  • Self-starter as this role demands the maturity & dedication to manage the role with limited support. 
  • Deep understanding of market trends in terms of segments, category evolution & competition mobile trends
  • Experience of leading cross-functional teams & engaging with Senior Management
