This is senior position and responsible for day to day operations & maintenance of the network which covers everything apart from projects & field related activities. This role aim to create depth in operations department and guidance to ensure network O&M activities are done as per SOPs.

 

Core Responsibilities:

 

  • Lead the network operations support to ensure network operational KPIs target are met
  • Oversee all facets of network operations including broadband services and support infrastructure for Telecom (2G, 3G & LTE), ISP (LTE & 5G) & ICT (P2P, M2MP & FTTx) networks
  • Build a Technical team for stable network operations.
  • Maintain local vendor relationship for Telecom, ISP and ICT services networks operations
  • Work with Project, business and other teams to ensure network monitoring, escalations and resolution are done within agreed timelines
  • Plan and ensure operational activities are done within budgeted OPEX
  • Plan and work with business automation team to automate any reoccurring operational tasks to achieve efficiencies
  • Responsible for management level operational KPIs reporting
  • Plan and develop technical policies & SLAs.
  • Ensure business continuity plans are updated & followed

 

Functional Skills

 

  • Understanding of Operator setup and operational details
  • Ability of motivate and direct staff as well as communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Detail-oriented, with strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Ability to coach and mentor employees for improved performance.
  • End to end understanding of the network design, build and operations process and network components.
  • Strong analytical skills are required to address complex issues.
  • Contracting & negotiations skills.

 

Academic qualifications, experience and skills required for this role:

 

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Electronics and Telecommunications, or equivalent.
  • More than 10 years of experience in Telecom field with more than 3 years of management experience.
