We are seeking to hire a highly motivated individual in the role of H& E Business Development Manager to join our Fiji Home & Entertainment Team based at the Nadi office, reporting to the Head of Home & Entertainment.

 

As a Business Development Manager for the Home and Entertainment department, you are required to play a critical role in driving the growth and success of Digicel Fiji. This position focuses on driving revenue growth in the commercial segment, expanding ISP, Over-the-Top (OTT), and Direct-to-Home (DTH) services in Fiji and non-Digicel markets, and boosting sales of TV advertising and other Home and Entertainment products. The BDM is responsible for managing sales teams, overseeing operations for the segment, and fostering a healthy and collaborative team culture to ensure sustained performance and growth.

 

Core Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies to achieve revenue growth targets in the Home & Entertainment commercial segment.
  • Identify and expand opportunities for ISP, OTT and DTH services in Fiji and non-Digicel markets.
  • Lead sales initiatives for TV advertising and other Home and Entertainment products and offerings.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage the Home and Entertainment sales team to ensure high performance and accountability.
  • Foster a strong, healthy, and collaborative team culture, promoting innovation and teamwork.
  • Oversee operations for the Home and Entertainment segment, ensuring efficiency and alignment with business goals.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to optimize workflows and resolve operational challenges.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key partners, clients, and stakeholders to drive business development opportunities.
  • Act as the main point of contact for escalations within the segment.
  • Monitor and report on sales performance, market trends, and customer insights.
  • Regularly present performance updates and strategies to the Head of Home and Entertainment as required.

Academic qualifications, Experience & Skill a required for this role:

  • A bachelor’s degree in business related discipline.
  • Four plus years’ experience in a leadership role within a sales team.
  • Proven experience in sales and business development, with a strong track record in B2C and B2B environments.
  • Advanced troubleshooting and multi-tasking skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams, deliver results, and foster accountability.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Experience in managing operations within a sales or commercial environment.
  • Results-oriented, with a passion for achieving and exceeding targets.
  • A people leader who inspires trust, motivates teams, and builds strong relationships.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to identify growth opportunities and implement effective solutions.
  • Self-starter with exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
