We are currently seeking a highly motivated individual to join our Technical Team at our head office, reporting to the Technical Manager - Network. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of our growth and innovation!


The RF/TX Rigger Technician will undertake Planning, Reviewing, installations, maintenance and servicing Network equipment for both carrier Nokia and Huawei (RF & TX).


Core responsibilities


  • Plan and review tasks related to network expansion projects to improve mobile coverage.
  • Supervise installation, restoration, and maintenance work on network systems and all relevant hardware within the Field Technician’s scope.
  • Monitor daily network KPIs, identify faults, and lead diagnostic and troubleshooting activities for field teams.
  • Train and guide Junior Technicians and Trainee Riggers by demonstrating equipment usage and best practices.
  • Prepare work schedules and material lists based on incoming shipments for network projects, relocations, and preparatory activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of network hardware inventory, including spare parts and faulty equipment, and coordinate warranty claims and replacements.
  • Develop work plans and initiate orders for materials and resources required for field operations.
  • Conduct site surveys to define project scope, including preparing sketches for installations, alterations, and relocations.
  • Work effectively at heights and be available to travel to outer islands for both short and long-term assignments.
  • Perform additional technical duties as required, including maintenance and repair of plant and equipment across other operational areas.
  • Collaborate effectively with technical team members and external stakeholders to ensure timely and efficient completion of assigned tasks.
  • Implement, monitor, and report on HSSE (Health, Safety, Security, and Environment) compliance during installations and service activities.
  • Ensure company vehicles are properly maintained, serviced, and kept clean at all times.
  • Uphold and demonstrate company values in all aspects of work.

 

Academic qualifications, Experience & Skills required for this role:


Education

  • Diploma in Electronics / Electrical / Telecommunication with 1 year experience or Trade
  • Certificate in Electronics / Electrical/ Telecommunication with 2 years’ experience.

 

Experience

  • Full Driving license 
  • Knowledge of logistics and shipment.
  • At least 1 years’ experience in wireless communication technologies including installations of TX/RX (Transmitter/Receiver) and RF (Radio Frequency) technology equipment plus cabling.
  • Knowledge in handling communication technologies for wider community and commercial.
  • Computer literate
