We are currently seeking a highly motivated Retail Agent to join our Retail Team at the DTL head office, reporting to the Retail Supervisor. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of our growth and innovation!
The Retail Agent is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, driving retail sales, and ensuring that Digicel retail outlets consistently meet required service, sales, and operational standards.
The role involves assisting customers with product and service selection, processing transactions accurately, and providing front‑line support across UNWIRED, SKY, GSM, and POSTPAID services in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Core responsibilities:
- Greet customers promptly and professionally, offering assistance upon arrival at the retail outlet.
- Reporting time to store is no later than 8.15am
- Provide accurate, clear, and up‑to‑date information on Digicel products, services, pricing, and promotions.
- Guide customers through handset and service selection, supporting informed purchasing decisions.
- Process sales transactions accurately, including cash, cheque, debit, and credit card payments, in line with company procedures.
- Register new customers and maintain accurate customer records and sales documentation.
- Deliver efficient and consistent service across ISP, TV, GSM, and POSTPAID platforms.
- Inform customers of current promotions, loyalty programs, and new product offerings this includes Apps and CVM offers.
- Ensure proper uniforms/Attire are worn to work and scheduled are adhered to.
- Address customer feedback and complaints professionally, resolving routine issues independently and escalating complex matters to the Store Manager when required.
- Prepare and submit routine sales, stock, and activity reports accurately and within required timeframes.
- Maintain store presentation, merchandising standards, cleanliness, and visual displays as directed by the Store Manager.
- Safeguard company assets, stock, cash, and confidential information in accordance with security and control procedures.
- Work collaboratively with team members to achieve store sales targets and customer service objectives.
- Perform additional duties related to retail operations as reasonably assigned by Retail Manager or Supervisor.
Academic qualifications, Experience & Skills required for this role:
Education
- Minimum of Year 11
- No tertiary qualification required for competent performance in the role.
Experience
- Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred.
- Experience dealing directly with customers, handling transactions, and operating in a fast‑paced environment is desirable.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage professionally with customers from diverse backgrounds.
- High level of customer focus, patience, and professionalism.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced and target‑driven retail environment.
- Sound numerical skills and accuracy in handling cash and electronic transactions.
- Ability to follow instructions, procedures, and retail standards consistently.
- Ability to work independently within defined guidelines and as part of a team.
- Demonstrates initiative in resolving routine customer issues and escalating appropriately when required.
- Well‑groomed, professional appearance at all times.
