We are seeking to hire a highly motivated individual in the role of Area Manager to join our Sales Consumer Team based in Malekula, reporting to the Head of Sales.

 

Core Responsibilities:

  • Manage direct sales team, ensuring “Sell through” is consistent with targets and subscriber growth potential. Own and Lead the rollout of Shop-in-shop within time and budget.
  • Manage team relationships, ensuring each sales team member is supported with guidance, holding regular meetings to discuss daily performance including travelling to outer islands on regular basis.
  • Manage sales team daily, weekly sales call/beat plans ensuring coverage and reach for Digicel products in each area.
  • Manage stock availability in each area/sales team. Carry out weekly stock reconciliations to ensure sales teams stock reconcile with sales and cash plus stock handling procedures are adhered to with zero to minimal stock variance.
  • Ensure all resellers / outlets hold require/adequate stock levels of all Digicel products such as Handsets, Sim Cards, Recharge; taking quick corrective action in the case of non-conformance, non-performance.
  • Ensure availability of Marketing Collaterals and products information happens to all sales team member under his/her control / territory.
  • Manage team performance, take corrective action on ground, own the numbers and work with back office to deliver sales reporting, ground feedback, stock variances updates.
  • Ensure his and his sales team member’s internal and external dealings are as per Digicel ethics standards.

 

Academic qualifications, Skills & Experience required for this role:

  • Sales Management / commerce /business Degree
  • 3-6 years of relevant sales, business development supervisory work experience of handling ground sales, corporate
  • Communication skills both oral & in writing
  • Sales experience
  • Results driven and proactive
  • A team player who is able to interact with persons at village, chief, municipality, local officials.
  • Conversant with sales planning process and retail processes.
  • Sociable – outgoing and able to interact with new communities/ cultures.
  • Able to manage sales team.
  • Good working knowledge of the Microsoft excel, basis of inventory, stock control.
  • Owns a driver’s license.
