We are currently looking for qualified candidates to fill the role of IT Manager at Digicel Samoa Limited. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the technology infrastructure and systems that support business operations. Key Responsibilities

• Select and implement suitable technology to streamline all internal operations and help optimize their strategic benefits, customer expectations and experience;
• Lead, mentor, develop and motivate the IT team to further their IT knowledge and specialize skills;
• Futureproof the business across IT technologies and advise management and customers on IT aspects of the business;
• Plan the implementation and maintenance of new systems and provide guidance to IT professionals and other staff within the organization;
• Analyze and approve purchases of equipment and software and establish partnerships with IT providers;
• Oversee and secure the IT infrastructure (networks and computer systems) in the organization to ensure optimal performance.

Academic qualifications and/or skills required for this role

• Degree in Computer Science or other related technology discipline with a business focus.
• At least seven (7) years Telecom/IT industry in engineering, management or team leader experience.
• IP Networking, MBPN, Unix, Databases and Windows experience
• Telecom experience and Cisco/Juniper/Huawei certifications are preferred
• Candidate must understand the transmission network and IP network connectivity, wired (Fiber) and wireless (Microwave) infrastructure 
• Must know the management of NMS like Solarwind, PRTG and other monitoring Systems
