The Application Support Engineer is mainly responsible for the timely and proper running of Billing IN Platform units as well as to provide support to the in-country operations team with regards to all the deployed solutions in a specific market. As part of this role, the Engineer will also be involved in designing, testing, certifying and benchmarking all products and services.
Core Responsibilities:
- Performance tuning and analysis for performance-related issues
- Be detail-oriented having extensive integration and server side administration experience
- Providing timely and professional support within the Service Desk.
- Help to identify, document, and complete billing requirements or tasks, which feed the financial cycle, providing quality assurance, and continuous improvement
- Responsible for the detection, analysis, resolution, measurement, and prevention of all Revenue Leakage problems and Products Fraud problems
- Provide support to all Digicel markets in line with the agreed Service Level Agreement (SLA)
- Take an on-call shift for production support out of business hours
- Create/update documentation so customers/employees can try to fix problems themselves and improve the team runbook
- Perform any other ad-hoc tasks related to the department.
Academic qualifications, experience and skills required for this role
- University Qualification in Information Technology/ Computer Science/Project Management
- Minimum of 6-8 years of CSG Singleview, IAT, AMM, IME based software administration experience (must be hands on) administering/implementing Singleview platform.
- Knowledge in SQL/NO-SQL, Linux, Shell Scripting, Perl, TMforum is mandatory
- Diameter, CAP, INAP, Sigtran, SMPP, HTTP, API, JSON experience
- Knowledge of quality and service assurance
- Knowledge of Project Management
- Strong Communication skills
- Able to work on own initiative and also in team environment
