We are currently seeking a highly motivated Country Risk Lead to join our Risk & Compliance Team at the Digicel Nabua office, reporting to the Group Chief Risk Officer This is an exciting opportunity to be part of our growth and innovation!
Digicel Pacific Group (DPG) operates in a dynamic and sometimes challenging environment, requiring a strong and proactive Risk & Compliance function. As HUB Country Risk Lead, you will ensure risks are identified and managed in line with DPG and Telstra Group’s risk appetite and policies, while addressing the unique operational realities of HUB. This pivotal role ensures Digicel HUB complies with all local legal requirements as well as Telstra Group standards. You will support the Digicel HUB executive team and DPG Chief Risk Officer by establishing and maintaining effective risk management frameworks. Your work will be central to identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks, and ensuring compliance with both internal and external regulations and policies.
Core responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain Digicel HUB risk profile and manage ongoing risk activities, including facilitating audits as required.
- Develop and test assurance plans for group policies, working closely with Group Risk functions.
- Report on and support the implementation of group policies across the business.
- Lead crisis management and business continuity planning (BCP), including disaster recovery development & testing.
- Monitor and report on gifts, hospitality, conflicts of interest, human rights, and environmental matters.
- Oversee the implementation of audit findings and ensure timely closure of actions.
- Provide support for policy implementation and incident management.
- Develop and roll out risk KPIs
- Support the introduction of risk technology platforms.
- Maintain a central repository of risk tools, templates, and processes.
- Liaise with DPG and Telstra Group’s specialist risk teams to ensure alignment and best practice sharing
Academic qualifications, Experience & Skills required for this role:
- Bachelor's degree
- 5 years of experience in risk and compliance, legal, audit environment or consulting
- Fluency in English,
- No criminal record
- Experience with large corporate risk, compliance & assurance or legal environments, preferably in telecommunications
- Experience with managing escalations, incident response, crises and working with front-line teams and executives
- Excellent problem solving and thinking skills, with attention to detail in a complex environment
