A Graduate Core Network Engineer is responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining the core network infrastructure of a telecommunications company. This includes planning and implementing core network architecture, network optimization, and troubleshooting network issues for the Fiji Hub Markets. Under Fiji Hub are the following markets; Fiji, Nauru, Tonga, Vanuatu and Samoa.
Core Responsibilities:

Designing and deploying core network infrastructure: A Graduate Core Network Engineer is responsible for assisting his team in designing and deploying the core network infrastructure end to end.

Troubleshooting network issues: A Graduate Core Network Engineer is responsible for identifying and resolving network issues that may impact the company's services.

Network optimization: A Graduate Core Network Engineer is responsible for optimizing the network to ensure it is operating at peak performance.

Network Analysis: Capture traces and logs to troubleshoot and identify issues.

Documentation: Documenting network configurations, issues, and resolutions are essential for keeping track of the changes made to the network infrastructure.

Reporting & Monitoring: Creating Reports and Monitoring of the whole core network .

Teamwork: A Graduate Core Network Engineer is required work within and with other teams, such as operations, engineering customer support and any other task entailed by a senior, to resolve network issues and improve network performance.

Keeping up with the telecommunication technology trends: Keeping abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends in the telecommunications sector is critical to maintaining a competitive edge and delivering high-quality services to customers.

Backup: Keeping network backup is pivotal to ensure if any network failure occurs, there is a fallback point.
Academic qualifications, experience and skills required for this role

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, such as Computer Science and Information Technology.

A good understanding of telecommunication network standard protocols and interfaces are advantageous for success in this role.
