We are currently seeking a highly motivated Head of Mobile Financial Services (Hub) to join our Products Financial Services Team at the Nabua Office reporting to the Regional Chief Commercial Officer. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of our growth and innovation!

This role is responsible for managing and leading the team of Digicel’s MyCash Product in Pacific Hub (Fiji, Samoa, Tonga and Vanuatu), delivering on the Financial and Operational KPIs. Lead the MyCash business, coordinating Program Expansion, Customer Acquisition, Marketing Activities, Compliance and Product Roadmap across Digicel’s matrix support organization – supported by international and locally based Financial Services team, the Hub Markets and in coordination with key stakeholders – internally and externally.

This role will work with regulators, partners, financial institutions, remittance providers and Markets to expand Digicel’s consumers’ digital and mobile access to money and payments, leveraging emerging technologies and payment industry best practices to develop and enable innovative consumer-centric solutions, ensuring adherence to Regulatory and Compliance frameworks.

Core responsibilities:  

  • In conjunction with key stakeholders (Markets, Hub, International Remitting Partners, Regulators etc), formulate, support, execute and review the Strategy definition for MyCash Program, including Customer Experience strategy, insights and analysis
  • Develop and communicate program vision and defined product roadmap and Deliver on Financial KPIs Revenue and EBITDA and Operational KPIs - Registered Customers, Active Customers, Use Case activity and profitability
  • Manage and support P&L and Operational KPI’s for the Hub Markets.
  • Drive business development and coordinate day-to-day operational management of the entire MFS Business
  • Compile accurate and timely daily/weekly/monthly report for Management and Board purpose
  • Responsible for high level business case creation, product and pricing strategy, product planning, product tracking and reporting product performance (KPIs)
  • Support the implementation of Hub level product/ project implementation by ensuring/managing Product and Platform Management including pre-production testing for enhancements/initiatives/projects
  • Coordinate Marketing Strategy at Hub level for the program to drive and execute on Customer Acquisition and Customer Activation Strategies.
  • Manage global International Money Transfer partners, which includes agreements and performance on the KPIs - remittance volume and revenue
  • Manage, Support and Lead the MFS Team – Hub and Markets
  • Coordinate locally to ensure delivery of operational excellence in partner support and customer activity.
  • Single Point of Contact for all partners, drive continuous optimization of our partner ecosystem
  • Coordinate with the Head of Compliance to assure adherence to AML/CTF, applicable laws and regulations and due diligence as required.
  • Business and Operational point of contact for the Regulators
  • Business ownership internal & external audit assignments (Operational and AML & Compliance) with appropriate actions for closure
  • Drive continuous optimization/improvements by reviewing, analyzing and reporting trends and patterns

Academic qualifications, Experience & Skills required for this role:

  • Bachelor’s degree (advanced degree preferable)
  • Strong understanding of Financial Services and Digital Payments
  • Significant experience in business development in the payments and remittance industry
  • Compliance Awareness such as KYC, AML etc
  • Basic cybersecurity literacy
  • Process Management together with Vendor and Partner management
  • Strong product life-cycle management discipline and sense of ownership, passion and pride for the product
  • Experience managing projects
  • Managing and leading teams
  • Customer-focused mindset, Results and detail oriented with strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage professionally with key stakeholders from diverse backgrounds.
  • High level of customer focus and service and leading teams
  • Experience in coaching and training individuals or groups required.
  • Excellent written, verbal, analytical and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability with the design and application of innovative ideas, developing creative solutions and motivating a team to share knowledge and complete tasks on time.
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Good time Management and planning capability
  • General knowledge of Mobile communications, Mobile Wallets and Digicel’ s business
  • Proficient in using MS- Office program.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and target-driven environment
