We are currently seeking a highly motivated Human Resources Manager to join our Team in Nabua office, reporting to the Regional Chief Human Resources Officer. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of our growth and innovation!

 

The role is responsible to support the Chief Executive Officer and work closely with the Regional Chief Human Resources Officer in delivering the HR agenda within the Fiji market working closely whilst supporting our employee requirements in a professional, effective, accurate, timely and efficient manner.

 

 

Core responsibilities:  

  • Manage and oversee end-to-end employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, employee movements, remuneration changes, benefits administration, leave management, and separation processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance within the HRIS.
  • Lead the recruitment and selection process by partnering with hiring managers to attract, assess, and appoint high-quality talent through a range of sourcing channels.
  • Oversee onboarding and offboarding processes to ensure a positive employee experience and compliance with organisational policies and legislative requirements.
  • Prepare and present monthly and quarterly HR reports and analytics, including workforce metrics, headcount, turnover, leave liabilities, remuneration, and other people-related insights to support business decision-making.
  • Lead the annual workforce planning and operating expenditure (OPEX) review in collaboration with business leaders, Finance, and the Executive Team to ensure workforce requirements align with organisational priorities and budgets.
  • Coordinate and manage the performance management framework, including goal setting, performance reviews, development planning, and annual performance outcomes in line with organisational policies and reward frameworks.
  • Review and approve payroll inputs and employee changes, ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing in partnership with Finance.
  • Lead the management of employee relations matters, including disciplinary processes, grievances, investigations, performance improvement plans, and conflict resolution, ensuring procedural fairness and compliance with employment legislation.
  • Develop and implement succession planning and talent management initiatives for critical and leadership roles, supporting capability development and business continuity.
  • Ensure HR records, systems, and employee files are maintained in an audit-ready state and comply with legislative, regulatory, and organisational requirements.
  • Review, develop, and implement HR policies, procedures, and frameworks to ensure legislative compliance, operational effectiveness, and alignment with industry best practice.
  • Lead employee engagement, wellbeing, recognition, and culture initiatives that promote a positive, inclusive, and high-performing workplace.
  • Partner with leaders to provide strategic HR advice on workforce planning, organisational design, change management, performance, employee engagement, and leadership capability.
  • Oversee organisational learning and development initiatives, identifying capability gaps and implementing programs that support employee and organisational growth.
  • Champion workplace health, safety, and wellbeing by partnering with the OHS Committee, Fire Wardens, and First Aiders to ensure compliance, certification, and a safe working environment.
  • Build effective relationships with managers and employees, providing trusted HR advice and coaching to support sound people management practices.
  • Continuously identify opportunities to improve HR systems, processes, and service delivery through innovation, automation, and best practice.

 

Academic qualifications, Experience & Skills required for this role:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Business Management, Psychology, Industrial Relations, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in Human Resources, including experience in a senior HR advisory or management role.
  • Demonstrated experience across core HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, learning and development, and HR operations.
  • Sound knowledge of employment legislation, HR best practices, and HR information systems (HRIS).
  • Experience in workforce planning, organisational change, and managing employee relations matters.
  • Strong leadership, stakeholder management, coaching, and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities, build effective relationships, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
