Primary objective of the role:

Overall responsible for the end-to-end Intercompany process for all Pacific entities, the exception being head office entities. which includes the review of Pos or Check requests using Amounts to be Recharged GL code, ensure accurate and timely processing of intercompany transactions via Sales, Purchasing and Financial modules. Circulate aging reports to Financial Controllers to get payment approvals and ensure payments are done in a timely manner by Accounts Payable team. Work together with Tax team to ensure compliance with tax related matters.

 

Main Duties/ Responsibilities :

  • Review and Approve Pos and check requests using Amounts to be Recharged GL codes. This is to ensure proper supporting documents are in place to ensure no issues when recharging to other markets.
  • Work with IC executive to ensure all invoices/credit notes are posted in either the Sales (Receivable charges) or Payables (Payables charges) module
  • Overall responsibility to manage balances in amounts to recharge accounts. At year end, these balances must be nil.
  • Enforce cutoffs for recharging at month-end to ensure month end deadlines are not compromised.
  • Circulate ICP reports at month end and explain any variance, which must be cleared in the following month.
  • Review and signoff on monthly GL reconciliations, ensuring any variance is explained and cleared in the following month.
  • Circulate monthly aging to Financial Controllers by Day 6 to get payment instructions and work with Accounts Payable team to ensure payment is completed within the month of approval.
  • Work with tax team to ensure compliance with any tax requirements on Intercompany payments.
  • Work closely with Telstra team to ensure invoices are booked accordingly and a reconciliation summary is provided for counterparty agreement at month end.
  • Work closely with senior finance members to ensure approved net offs are processed within the month.
  • Liaise with CALA vendors to clear any outstanding
  • Manage inbound and outbound intercompany related enquiries.
  • Liaise with external auditors for all intercompany audit related samples/queries.
  • Update quarterly inputs for Intercompany in FCCS.
  • Provide support and training to upskill Intercompany Executive.
  • Accountable for the continuous improvement of the Intercompany function
  • Aid the Head of Transaction Processing for any Intercompany information requested.

 

Academic qualifications and skills required for this role:

  • Bachelor Degree in Finance/Accounting or a related discipline with minimum of 4 years working experience.
  • Experience in working in a finance function processing invoices in a high volume transactions environment
  • Experience in working with Great Plains is an advantage
  • Experience with tax requirements for payments within the pacific.
  • Have leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Suite Office especially MS Excel
  • Highly organised and efficient

  • Good communicator
