We are currently seeking a highly motivated Product Manager – Fiji Hub to join our Business Solution Operations Team at the Digicel Khalsa office, reporting to the Head of Enterprise Products – Fiji Hub. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of our growth and innovation!

 

As the B2B Product Manager – Fiji Hub, you’ll lead the development of innovative communication and collaboration tools for internal teams and B2B clients, while managing complex infrastructure across five Digicel markets. Your role bridges stakeholders, developers, and users, and involves system configuration, security solutions, technical support, and guiding the technical direction to meet evolving business needs.

 

Core responsibilities:  

The candidate will have significant experience within the telecommunications industry and have developed competencies with a wide range of ICT products and manage projects related to the deployment of new collaboration tools like Microsoft Teams, Cisco Broadsoft, 3CX, Voida, Grandstream UC, Alcatel-Lucent: Communications Manager, IM&Presence, legacy SIP integration, various Contact Center Solutions, Alcatel-Lucent, SD-WAN, Network Security, Endpoint Security, Cloud Security, Application Security, Identity and Access Management (IAM), Data Security, Intrusion Detection and Prevention Systems (IDPS), Incident Response, Security Operations Center as a Service (SOCaaS), Firewall management, Identity Theft Protection, Disaster Recovery/Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Threat Intelligence, Compliance and Risk Management, Security Awareness Training, Managed Security Services (MSS), Penetration Testing, Network Vulnerability Scanning, and Security Architecture Design.

 

Core responsibilities:  

Product Management and Development

  • Define the vision and roadmap for Unified Communications products, ensuring alignment with the Hub strategic goals.
  • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of product design and implementation, effectively representing the Product team to senior leadership and customers.
  • Product and service deployment and management, and ongoing upgrades and improvements to new and existing systems.
  • Drive new product introductions through sourcing and/or new product concepts and development, managing existing product categories to ensure quality, market acceptability, financial performance, and completeness of offering.
  • Define product requirements with the team and prioritize them in the product backlog, continually solicit feedback from operational stakeholders to prioritize product enhancements and understand business requirements.
  • Identify and propose innovative product solutions, utilizing technical expertise and operational excellence to enhance customer experience and drive secure solutions.
  • Lead the design, development, and release processes for assigned products, while maintaining an organized project roadmap.
  • Conduct proof of concept and enhance technical testing of equipment prior to productization, detailing advantages and disadvantages.
  • Support marketing, sales, and support initiatives by developing and maintaining various technical marketing materials such as application notes, FAQs, product notes, user guides, and online content.
  • Create detailed use cases, business requirements, and marketing requirements for products.
  • Create and implement a Managed Services and ICT Product portfolio that is effective, user-friendly, and well understood by stakeholders and clients.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders in overseeing the product lifecycle processes and provide regular progress reports and feedback.

 

 

Market Analysis and Strategy

  • Monitor and understand market conditions and technology developments – including worldwide and local trends, competitive landscape, vendor development, research data, and standards development – and its implications on the services portfolio.
  • Influence strategic direction and assist the Head of Products in steering the company towards its growth objectives.
  • Acquire a deep understanding of competitive products while maintaining an analysis of their strengths and weaknesses.
  • Monitor advancements in competitor technologies and products, regularly conducting capability analyses.
  • Develop, implement, and produce reports for performance metrics that guide intelligent decision-making for prioritizing and developing new network-based products and services.

 

Project Management and Coordination

  • Manage the deliverables of service development, including approvals, budget, timelines, and resources.
  • Assess and mitigate technical risks associated with product development.
  • Coordinate the collection and prioritization of customer and prospect requests for new product functionality, translating them into technical product requirements.
  • Coordinate beta testing of new products and features, documenting issues and recommending solutions to program managers while engaging in product performance benchmarking.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, sales, and marketing, to align insights with organizational goals and support strategic initiatives.
  • Provide input into effective change, problem management, capacity planning, incident management, risk management and continuity planning utilising industry best practices in systems support and service delivery, compliant with the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework.

 

Training and Documentation

  • Provide product training and technical expertise to relevant stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for all product features and functions in support of commercial strategies, growth initiatives, cost forecasting, and profitability targets.
  • Document responses to technical inquiries from customers that sales and support staff cannot address, utilizing existing documentation as necessary.

 

Communication and Relationship Building

  • Attend industry events and conferences to promote the company and build relationships and develop insights within the industry.
  • Produce timely work for various teams and communicate effectively about needs and challenges as they arise.
  • Conduct product demonstrations at trade shows, online seminars, and other events.

 

Continuous Improvement and Innovation

  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation
  • Conduct benchmarking studies to understand industry best practices and identify opportunities for improving processes and innovation strategies.
  • Collect feedback on products to identify opportunities for improvement and optimization.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge through workshops, professional publications, networking, and participation in professional societies.
  • Develop and track key performance indicators to measure the success of products and inform data-driven decisions.

 

Academic qualifications, Experience & Skills required for this role:

  • 10+ years of experience in an IT or Telecommunication industry.
  • Masters’ degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field with any relevant specialized certifications; CCNA, Cisco BroadWorks, ACFE PMP, TOTS, Cybersecurity, PMP/PRINCE2 with strong understanding of the supported functions, business, and products, as well as the related operations and business case modelling.
  • Strong understanding of Unified Communications design, requirements, and functions with Expert-level technical proficiency in Unified Communications system administration
  • Proven knowledge in researching any new reform rules and rule changes and implementing policies, procedures, or other controls necessary to comply with the rules.
  • Demonstrate excellent knowledge in telecommunications, IT products and market dynamics.
  • Creating effective training tools and materials, and participating in formal and informal training sessions with sales and support personnel, customers, specifying engineers, inspectors, and installers
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools and software, such as SQL, Excel, Power BI and other analytical tools will be an advantage.
  • Experience conducting competitor analysis, revenue forecasting, and market research.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex data insights in a clear and actionable manner.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Must be strategic, possess a strong attention to detail and have exceptional organization
  • Ability to build compelling and high-caliber presentations and supporting content with a passion and interest for design
  • Ability to proactively build rapport, credibility, influence, and get results throughout an organization at all levels, across many functions, in a highly-matrixed organization.
