The Senior Solutions Architect -Managed Services is a key member of the ICT team, responsible for planning, implementing, managing, and optimizing the organization's network infrastructure. This role involves working with enterprise customer as well as with various networking technologies, ensuring high availability, security, and performance of the network. The Role will directly report to HOD of ICT Technical and Products
Core Responsibilities:
- Network Design: Design and architect enterprise network solutions that meet the organization's requirements, including LAN, WAN, and data center networks.
- Implementation: Deploy and configure enterprise network devices and systems, such as routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and wireless access points.
- Network Security: Implement and maintain enterprise security measures to protect the network from external threats and ensure compliance with security policies and standards.
- Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Continuously monitor network performance, identify and resolve issues, and perform root cause analysis. Implement network monitoring and management tools.
- Capacity Planning: Assess and plan for network capacity, making sure the network can accommodate current and future traffic demands.
- Network Optimization: Optimize network performance, including traffic shaping, QoS, and fine-tuning network protocols.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date network documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, and standard operating procedures.
- Vendor Management: Collaborate with vendors and service providers to evaluate, purchase, and support network equipment and services.
- Team Leadership: Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior network engineers and support staff.
- Network Standards: Ensure adherence to industry best practices, standards, and compliance requirements (e.g., PCI DSS, HIPAA, GDPR).
- Emergency Response: Be available for on-call support and incident response as needed to address network outages or critical issues.
- Project Management: Manage and lead network-related projects, including network upgrades, expansions, and migrations.
Academic qualifications, experience and skills required for this role:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Several years of experience in network engineering and administration.
- Industry certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent are often preferred.
- Proficiency with network hardware, software, and protocols, including Cisco, Juniper, and other leading networking technologies.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, and network security.
- Experience with network monitoring and management tools (e.g., SNMP, Net Flow, and Wireshark).
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to analyze and resolve complex network issues.
- Strong communication and leadership skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- In-depth knowledge of emerging network technologies and trends.
- Project management skills and experience managing network projects.
