We are currently seeking a highly motivated Technical Intern to join our Technical Team at the Khalsa office, reporting to the Core Network Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of our growth and innovation!

The Technical Intern is responsible for supporting the assigned technical team with day-to-day tasks and operational responsibilities across the Fiji Hub markets. The Fiji Hub covers the following markets: Fiji, Nauru, Tonga, Vanuatu, and Samoa.

Core responsibilities:  

• Assist engineers in monitoring network dashboards and alerts with regards to mobile network performance (RAN / Core / Transport / Power)
• Support simple troubleshooting tasks of network issues under guidance
• Help analyse basic data such as KPIs, logs, reports, via different platforms available
• Work with tools for log analysis (e.g., Wireshark, tcpdump, OSS dashboards)
• Assist engineer in configuration and validation of network elements
• Participate in alarm monitoring and fault management activities
• Document findings, prepare reports, and suggest improvements
• Support testing and rollout of new features
• Learn basics of mobile networks (how calls, SMS, and data work)
• Document issues, observations, and daily activities
• Participate in training sessions and hands-on labs
• Assist in routine checks and operational tasks

Academic qualifications, Experience & Skills required for this role:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, such as Computer Science and Information Technology.
• A basic understanding of telecommunication network standard protocols and interfaces are advantageous for success in this role.
