We are currently seeking a highly motivated individual to join our Technical Team at our head office, reporting to the Technical Manager - Network. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of our growth and innovation!


The Field Technician/ Rigger will undertake installations, maintenance and servicing of Telecommunication, Home & Entertainment, ICT users.


Core responsibilities


  1. Assist in the installation, maintenance, and dismantling of telecommunications equipment on towers, rooftops, and other structures.
  2. Support rigging activities, including lifting, positioning, and securing antennas, feeders, and related hardware.
  3. Work under supervision to learn safe climbing, rigging techniques, and proper use of tools and equipment.
  4. Perform basic inspections of towers, mounts, and cabling to identify visible faults or damage.
  5. Assist in cable routing, fastening, labeling, and weatherproofing of telecom equipment.
  6. Follow instructions from Senior Technicians and Riggers to complete assigned field tasks efficiently.
  7. Maintain tools, safety gear, and equipment in good working condition.
  8. Adhere strictly to HSSE (Health, Safety, Security, and Environment) standards, especially when working at heights.
  9. Participate in site preparation and cleanup activities before and after installations.
  10. Support logistics by helping with loading, unloading, and transportation of materials and equipment.
  11. Accurately record basic work activities and report issues to supervisors.
  12. Be willing to travel to different locations, including remote or outer island sites, as required.
  13. Continuously learn and develop technical and safety skills related to telecommunications rigging.
  14. Demonstrate professionalism, teamwork, and commitment to company values at all times.

 

Academic qualifications, Experience & Skills required for this role:

Education

  • Certificate in Electronics / Electrical/ Telecommunication with 1 year work experience.
  • Diploma in Electronics/Telecommunication or related field with no experience

 

Experience

  • Valid full driver’s license.
  • Basic knowledge of logistics, materials handling and shipment processes
  • Any exposure to telecommunications or terrestrial broadcast technologies is an advantage, including installation of electrical equipment and cabling.
  • Familiarity with handling and installing equipment in residential and commercial environments is desirable.
  • Basic computer literacy, including the ability to use standard office applications and digital
  •  tools.
