We therefore invite both internal and external applications for the position of Marketing Manager based at the Head Office, reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer. This role will be responsible for developing, implementing and executing strategic marketing plans for Digicel Tonga across all products and services in order to attract potential customers and retain existing ones.  This includes the company's brand equity in-country and managing all communications in the market relating to Digicel’s brand image and leading the local Marketing Team 

Core responsibilities:  

 

  • Develop strategies and tactics to promote Digicel, it’s products and services and drive potential sales as end result
  • Deploy successful marketing campaigns with on-ground execution
  • Managing, planning, buying and evaluation of all media
  • People Management and team leadership
  • Build strategic relationships and partner with key external and internal stakeholders
  • Plan and manage all communications to both internal and external stakeholders
  • Budget management
  • Event and Project Management
  • Analyze competition’s marketing campaign, gain insights and assess against Digicel’s values and policy. 
  • Submit monthly marketing reports to the CEO entailing all promotions, advertising mediums and competitive outlook.
  • Prepare and participate in weekly SMT meeting lead by CEO
  • Brand champion in making sure that our brand is aligned with Digicel & Telstra requirements in all locations around DTL.
  • Any other responsibility assigned by the CEO as and when directed

 

Academic qualifications, Experience & Skills required for this role:


Education

  • Bachelor of Arts degree in business related discipline with specialization in Marketing

Experience

  • Five (5) years or more work experience in a marketing role with regional experience
  • Excellent communications skills
  • Project Management skills
  • People Management experience Telecommunication or Computer Science certification also required
